The story starts in 2010. After having been abroad because of work duties, KB returned home to urban Oslo to find that many parts of Oslo were being industrialized. Not industrialized to the extent of many other metropolises but it was enough damage to the green leafy quiet areas of Oslo to make visual and physical difference. Sadly, with economic growth comes the negative as much as the positive values.
With the rise of oil and gas money saturating into the capital, more and more trees are being cut down to develop more housing. This is in turn having an negative impact on the fauna as well as the humans living in these areas
KB wanted to balance out this by working with friends to pledge to plant as many trees that were being cut down.
This pledge grew to a whole community working with KB and friends to plant 1000 trees during the spring.
Green Trees was born with sheer love from friends to a large community. Bringing people from all walks of life, to not only envisage a future of trees, but also live and breath it.
The legacy keeps going, whilst more trees keep growing.
